I saw a blue A110 for sale in Mexico before I got my Z, they sold them down there. I was not brave enough to attempt a vehicle purchase south of the border. I do know a nice lady who is Mexican and I guess I could have asked for her help....

Sweet baby Jesus, it’s not even a Magny-Cours or anything.

A French Alpine or one of them Dinalpins? I love license-built Alpines, they also had them in Brazil of course (Willys Interlagos) and, of all places, in Bulgaria (Bulgaralpine - I kid you not).

I love Alpina, but we’re talking about a proper sportscar maker. Get your tuner that’s only registered as a constructor thanks to incredibly lenient German law outta here.

The A110 will always be my favorite Alpine. That one looks very pretty in yellow, but THE BLUE MAN.....THE BLUE A110S TRUMP ALL:

In Mexico they were called Dinalpin, since they were made under license by a company called DINA (maker of trucks and buses).

My dad had a yellow one, pretty similar to the one on the top. He said that the car once caught on fire. He did not know if to run and let it burn, or put the fire off and risk his life. He many, many passer buys risked it and saved the car. The damage was minimal. He kept the car a few more years until the family needed a bigger car. He then got a Datsun 710 :(

I have contacted a guy in Mexico who makes replicas based on a VW Beetle floor plan. I also contacted a guy who bought the original molds from Dina. He wants to build a tubular frame chassis to make it a kit car. Given the current prices, I may buy one of these.

I actually don’t know. It is a car I would love to have either way.
